Pathway to College Success This class assists students who have a GED or diploma to successfully transition into college. It is held in the Lake Superior College Learning Center and is a collaboration between the Duluth Adult Education Program and Lake Superior College. The class is offered for eight weeks during the latter part of each college semester and during the summer. Between class sessions, a "Pathway" open lab for skills devleopment is offered. Those enrolling in this program are planning to attend LSC and have been out of school for several years and/or have been placed into developmental courses (Reading I or II, Writing I or II) based on the results of the college’s Accuplacer assessment. Students have the opportunity to refresh or build their academic skills with the goal of advancing their reading and/or writing skills to college level and raising their math skills as well. The teacher provides group class sessions and also develops a personalized program of study for each student, including working in the computer lab of the college's Learning Center. Students also have the chance to consult with an advisor and become familiar with the college’s many services. Further information and registration: Call the ABE office at 336-8790
