Enhancing Education through Technology


The Duluth Public Schools was awarded, through a competitive grant application process, an Enhancing Education through Technology (E2T2) grant of $170,000. It will enable teachers to master technology tools and resources which they can immediately use in their classrooms. The funds will be used for training to assure teachers are able to use available technology hardware, software, and other tools; and for staff development to enable teachers to integrate the technology into their content and curricular areas.  This training and staff development will highlight topics such as technology integration basics, SMART board training and curriculum integration, and interactive classroom technology. This grant sunsets on June 30, 2011.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

The Duluth Public Schools was also awarded, through a competitive grant application process, an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grant of $230,000.  This training and staff development provided through this grant include technology integration basics, SMART board training and curriculum integration, and interactive classroom technology. This grant sunsets on December 31, 2011.
