Technology Planning...

Every four years the Duluth Public schools begins the process of reviewing and renewing it's Technology Plan.  The committee involved in this process consists for Technology personal, teachers, parents, staff, and the general public.  This plan is not only used to idenify what we are successful at but also areas that need improvement.  The Technology Department relies on this plan to guide them while prepareing current and furture budgets.  It is used on a daily basis.

The Technology Plan is a vital part of appling for E-rate. Some questions we ask are:

Why do Technology Planning?

• It ensures effective use of technology resources
• Good business practice
• Provides rationale for requesting additonal resources from school boards, library boards, and superintendents
• Prepares schools and libraries for requesting addtional resources from grants and partners
