PowerUser Program Overview The PowerUser program was initially designed to prepare Duluth teachers to use district-wide technology. As the program progressed, obtaining PowerUser certification became a prerequisite for having a SMART interactive whiteboard installed in a classroom. Currently, SMART boards are now being installed according to the Long Range Facilities Plan. As of March, 2011, we have approximately 232 PowerUsers in the Duluth Public Schools (the number changes on and off due to retirements). If you have completed the required and elective courses, you can now apply for the next round of PowerUsers. To apply for PowerUser certification, please complete the form below. To be eligible for Fall, 2011, SMART board classes designed specifically for PowerUsers and additional PowerUser benefits, your application must be received by September 30, 2011. You will be then be contacted via email about your status and training/staff development opportunities. If you have questions, please contact Tammi Wilkins via district email. |
