 SMART Board Project Our SMART Board Project consists of three steps: PowerUser Certification, Installation, and SMART Board Training and Staff Development. When our project first launched, to become eligible to have a SMART board installed in a class, the teacher would first become PowerUser certified. After the board was installed, the teacher would complete three days of training and staff development. With the implementation of our district's Long Range Facilities Plan, all classrooms within the size requirements of the plan receive SMART Interactive Whiteboards. The Tech Department is no longer installing any new boards other than those provided throught the LRFP. New PowerUsers are still eligible to attend three days of training and staff development. Non-PowerUsers receive SMART Bootcamp training prior to their site's re-opening. |

Round 3 ~ Fall 2008: 30 boards will be temporarily placed in classrooms throughout the district. Round Three PowerUsers have been contacted individually about their SMART board status. All additional SMART board installations will now take place through the Long Range Facilities Plan. |
